WELCOME TO FOURTH GRADE

My name is Mrs. Baxley, and I teach fourth grade here at Grace.

I was born in Baltimore and have had the privilege of teaching in an area where I attended school.  I was saved at the age of eight while attending a Christian summer camp.  It was there that I realized my need of a savior and accepted Christ into my life.  The Lord has truly blessed me as He has guided, protected, and provided for me.

Our Class Theme:
     Go With God

Our Class Verse:
Proverbs 16:17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

Our Classroom:
Our classroom this year has been decorated with cars, planes, trains, and road signs.  We want to remember to take God with us everywhere we travel.  We want to "STAY ON THE RIGHT TRACK" following the rules God has laid out in His Word.  Also, we want to "AIM HIGH" and reach the goals God has set before us.  Pray for our class as we travel through this year that we will arrive at our next destination God has for each one of us in a way that honors Him.

Our First Project:
Yes, it was "Bug's Day" in fourth grade on October 19th.  Fourth graders proudly displayed their insect projects.  The project included the collecting of five different insects, the mounting of them, and correctly labeling them.  The students also chose an insect to research.

During the week of October 19th, the students shared their projects with their classmates.

Amethyst, Autumn, and Dwaine proudly display their projects.

Kayla, Tiffany, and Myinda' worked very hard on their assignments.

Nylah, Barbara, William, and Jeriah did a fantastic job!

The class recently visited Oregon Ridge where they learned about insects in our area.  They were also allowed to hike and see many of the insects in their habitats.  Truly, the assignment was a great learning experience for all.

PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR STUDENTS AS THEY WORK HARD COMPLETING THE WORK FOR THE YEAR.
