WELCOME TO OUR FOURTH GRADE

Yes, that's me! I am Mrs. Baxley, and I enjoy the special privilege of teaching here at Grace.

TESTIMONY
     A miraculous thing happened in my life when I was only eight years old. I was away at a Christian camp. It was there that I hard the wonderful gospel message of how Jesus took my place on Calvary. He willingly gave His life so that I could have eternal life. I can still remember walking down the sawdust aisle of the meeting hall to receive Christ as my personal Savior.
     That was many years ago. Many things have happened in my life since then, but God has been faithful. His promise to us is that He will never leave us nor forsake us. It's a blessing to know that when there are times we feel alone, God is always there!

SCHOOL YEAR
     An exciting year awaits those entering fourth grade. Preparation has been made, rooms have been completed, and prayers have gone up daily.
     Because our goal this year is to become more like Christ, our class has been decorated in "bees." The bee is a social insect that works with one another to survive. The bees must nurture their youth until maturity. We, as Christians, must be united in "one accord" working together.

OUR CLASS VERSES
Our key verses this year are found in the book of Philippians:
     "Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."    Philippians 2:2-3

PREPARATIONS
     As you prepare for the school year, there are some things you can do that will help you to become more like Christ.
     1.     DAILY search to see if there is sin you need to confess, then CONFESS it!
     2.     DAILY pray and seek God's will for your life, then OBEY!
     3.     DAILY read God's Word to see what promises He has for you, then CLAIM
             them!
     4.     DAILY seek someone to share the gospel with, then SHARE it!

SPECIAL PROJECT
     Our special project for the months of September and October was an insect project. The students spent the month of September collecting insects for their projects. After they collected and mounted the insects, they were to research one of the insects included in their project.
     The students worked long and hard gathering the things they needed. They shared their projects with the class.
     Next, the students visited Oregon Ridge Nature Center. Here they were able to see many interesting animals, as well as, hold live exotic insects. The students learn that God has created many beautiful things for us to enjoy in this world.
