MISSIONARY NEWS - THE DEVALVES
(Niger) - The accreditation for Sahel Academy takes place this week. This
is the culmination of 3+ years of very hard work and preparation. Pray that
the ACSI team will arrive safely, for good health for the visiting team and
the Sahel Academy staff, and for full completion of all that needs to be
done March 1-4. On March 7th, we will be speaking at morning and evening
services at First Baptist Church in PA. March 9-14, we will drive out to
Cedarville to visit Daniel and Suzanne and other family in the area. Then
we’ll travel to Connecticut to spend time with Mom DeValve to help her with
all the details she now has to handle upon the death of Dad DeValve.
Continue to pray for the family as they work through their grief. On March
24th, we leave for England for the beginning of a 10-week induction course
for John’s doctoral studies. We have a room in a boarding house reserved
for our stay. March through May is the hot season in Niger. Pray for our
colleagues during these months when every day is between 100-115 degrees,
and some nights don’t get cooler than 90. Continue to pray about the
political situation in Niger. The new military government has promised to
return the country to civilian rule as soon as possible. We appreciate your
prayers.
