Grace Bible Baptist Church & School has a strong commitment to the AWANA Club program.  Over 20  years ago, Pastor Johnson felt a burden for our youth; and, under his direction, AWANA was brought to Grace.  AWANA is an international, Bible-centered youth ministry with the goal of reaching boys and girls age 3 years through 6th grade, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and training them to serve Him. AWANA is an acronym from 2 Timothy 2:15, "Approved Workment Are Not Ashamed."  AWANA presents an opportunity for children to establish a relationship with God and, through Scripture memory, grow spiritually, build self-esteem and develop good relationships with others.

Parents assist their children in this growth by encouraging them to learn the verses in their AWANA handbook and by sharing joy in the awards they earn.  Feel free to visit the club meeting any Monday evening.  We encourage you to talk with us about any special concerns or questions. It is our desire to minister to the entire family and not just your child.

AWANA Clubs meet on Monday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for ages three years old to grade six.  It is a real joy and privilege to work with boys and girls and to teach them about God’s Word.  I praise the Lord for all the teachers and helpers God has given to us this year.  Every Monday night, boys and girls recite verses they have memorized, listen to a message from God’s Word, and play games.  There are annual camping trips in April.  It is an exciting time – so kids, come on out for an action-packed evening centered around Christ.

We are looking for older teens to be Leaders In Training (L.I.T.'s).  We are praying and looking in the future to have a J.V. (Junior Varsity) program.

Where can I learn more?
